About The Artist
Jennifer Jane Pet Portraits started with my love for animals.
Whiskers, floppy ears, wet noses and those soulful eyes make my heart sing!
I learned at a pretty early age that I could look at an object and draw it to look pretty close to the real thing.
I remember taking a drawing class in high school and realized 45 minutes would fly by because I was in my own world creating. And that was my peace!
I didn't pursue art in college, but focused on a degree in communications. It was there that I found my person and was blessed to stay home and raise four amazing people! When those people went off to pursue their dreams, I needed a hobby. With a cabinet full of art supplies I decided to try to paint my favorite subject matter -our Jack Russell Terrier, Jackpot.
When I'd hear of someone who lost their furry friend, I'd surprise them with a portrait. The emotion they shared when opening their gift was my inspiration.
From those gifts, word of my work spread and my hobby began turning into something more.
I love that each painting is unique. Those ears - floppy or perky - the noses in an array of colors and the windows to the soul - those eyes motivate me to create that special keepsake for every one of my clients.
